Our mission is to help the next generation pursue careers that are best suited for their unique self

Our Story

ACP TEAMS is a private educational company that focuses on guiding students through high school to enter the college of their dreams. It is vital that students start preparing for college as early as the eighth and ninth grades. Early preparation gives students a clear guideline to follow at an age where things can be overwhelming. Our curated program helps students exceed college requirements and targets universities that are the best fit for them.

We accept students with a GPA average above 3.0. Counseling services begin in the eight grade, so that students are fully prepared when entering high school to reach their goals. Students can be accepted at any point after as well. We help direct each student into a field and major that best suits them that will ensure they become successful in their career of choice. We focus mainly on the S.T.E.A.M. fields, which include Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.

Why S.T.E.A.M College

S.T.E.A.M. stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. These esteemed fields are highly competitive and in order to stand the best chance at entering into one of these careers, it is crucial to start preparing early. S.T.E.A.M. careers generally pay higher with the average median hourly wage being $38.85. S.TE.A.M. jobs are also projected to grow 8.8% by 2029, more than any other field.

However, only 20% of US high school graduates are prepared for college coursework in S.T.E.A.M. majors. We want to add to this percentage and make sure all who are interested in those fields have the best chance. We do this by ensuring our students understand what is necessary from them for these careers early on.

Candy Douglas

B.S. in Physical Education from Loma Linda University (LLU),
M.A. in Counselor Education from LLU

I have been a middle school, high school, and adult ed school counselor in Southern California for over 25 years. I have counseled both first generation and underrepresented students and families. I have had the privilege of counseling students who have gone to college and five (5) years later have returned to teach at the very same high school they graduated from! This is a compliment and dream come true to see the results of one’s counseling come full circle.

Pauline Grace

B.A. from CSUSB – Major in English with writing emphasis, Minor in Psychology

I have over fifteen years’ experience teaching and editing college-entrance and other essays. I got married at seventeen-years old, and while I was raising my two daughters, I worked for fifteen years in a Christian school office, the last six as Administrative Secretary and Office Manager. Then I went to college where I thrived in the experience of getting an education. One thing that impressed me was how organizing my thoughts in a well-written essay made me a stronger thinker and communicator. Going on to be an educator, I have focused my high school students on this aspect: clear, concise writing is essential to success in almost every area. Additionally, as I have worked with students of all ages, either as a classroom teacher or as a tutor, my goal is always to help my students to be strong thinkers and clear communicators. When I’m not teaching or assisting students, you will find me with my two dogs, two desert tortoises, bantam hens, or my vegetable and flower plants in my yard.
